I wrote 100 goals as a 13 year old girl and on that list was milking a cow. Today, that happened. Don’t give up on your dreams people. 😜😂😎 🐮 #dreamdocometrue @thefoodnanny thanks for making it possible.

The Air’s
Some things to know about us:
1.) We like to work/play with dirt. #gangster
2.) We are currently looking for our own little house on the prairie where we can play with even more dirt.
3.) We like to laugh, and dance.
4.) We love experimenting. Whether it’s a new recipe, building something new, taking on a challenge, whatever it is- we will try it at least once.
5.) We love each other. Cultivating relationships within our little family is something we take seriously and strive to prioritize.
6.) We love ourselves. We also take seriously the relationship with ourselves. Making time for ourselves is key when we are ready to give love away. You can’t give from an empty bucket.

When Ammon and I were first married we lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming as river rats. We literally lived on a 10x10 slab of concrete with a leaky, 35 year old (I’m exaggerating) tent. We had a trash can, a bed, a few items of clothing, shoes, our life jackets and toiletries that we had to carry each time we went to the shower house/bathroom. We ate our meals at the mess hall, but mainly outside on a picnic table.
We brought our bed and put it on cinder blocks because there was no way in hell we were gonna sleep on cots as newlyweds. 🥴
We had less than $1000 in our bank account and I owned a beater car (1995 Saturn) that thankfully never broke down. It ran on miracles and prayers- like I still don’t know how it ran for so long.
We were blissfully happy. Simplicity is something I’ve longed for since that time. The more I look back and ponder on that summer- the more I realize where happiness comes from. Love, patience, service, connection, doing things together that you love, having fun together, connecting to nature, being quiet, simplicity. Not money, nor power, nor busyness, nor check lists, nor do THINGS make us happy.
I want to go back to that place- not the physical one (although that would be nice if too), but the mental one. Here is to letting go, simplifying and being so grateful.
