My love for cooking started at a young age as I sat with my mom on the kitchen counter making her famous chocolate chip cookies. We would laugh and eat dough until our bellies ached. Both of my grandma’s were incredible cooks too. My mom’s mom, Helen, threw stuff together, never measured a thing and always ended up with a masterpiece. My dad’s mom, Nana, was a chef and dietitian who had a scale on her counter and made the most incredible meals you could imagine. My mom is a little mix of both and has taught me that it’s not about the food, but about gathering the family and creating memories. Food is what brings us together and binds us.
As I have been putting this together, more and more people are asking for a copy. We hope you will enjoy these simple family staples and find joy as you bring your family together around the table.
I wasn’t planning on printing more than 300 copies for my close family and friends, but now that more and more people are asking for it, I figure I would open it up to see how many would actually buy this incredible compilation of family dishes. Each recipe is familiar and simple, which makes buying this book a no brainer.
